Tooth can become stained or discoloured ,after cigar smoking ,taking certain medication or consuming foods and beverages such as coffee and tea , hereditary or as normal ageing process. Your dentist can whiten your teeth in one of the two ways.

AT HOME TEETH BLEECHING
Your dentist creates a custom mouthpiece tray that ensures the right amount of whitening solution that reaches your teeth. You may find whitening at home more convenient. But it can take two to four weeks or longer depending on the strength of peroxide used and the desired shade you wish to achieve.

IN OFFICE TEETH BLEECHING
In-office whitening can take place in one or more 1- to 2-hour visits . Your teeth can become stained again if you continue exposing them to the same substances that originally stained them. So periodic bleeching may be required after an year.
